Troubleshooting
Certificate warnings, the offline banner, expired sessions and login codes.
Certificate warning on the test server
While Cedarfall is in testing, the server may use a temporary security certificate. Your browser can warn that the connection is not private. If you trust the address you were given, choose the browser's option to continue. Only do this for Cedarfall's own address, never on other sites. A normal certificate is planned for release.
Offline banner
If the game shows an offline banner, it cannot reach the server. Check your connection and wait: the game reconnects on its own. Your timers keep running on the server. Nothing you queued is lost.
"Cedarfall is open somewhere else"
Your account can be open in only one window at a time. If you open Cedarfall in another tab, window or device, the older one stops and shows this message. Choose Play here instead to take the account back (this closes the other window), or Sign out. If you keep seeing it and you only have one window open, close other tabs and devices that are signed in to the same account. Taking the account back too many times in a short while is briefly limited.
If you see Please reload the page, your browser is running an old copy of the game. Reload the page and it will update.
Session expired
Each login lasts 30 days. After that you see "session expired". Sign in again with your email and a new code. If you played as a guest, resume as a guest from the same device.
Guest account expired
Guest accounts last 12 hours. After that you see "guest account has expired". Your progress is kept but locked. Sign in with your email, or start a new guest. To avoid this, link an email while your guest account is still active (see Getting started).
I did not get my code
Check spam. Codes expire after 10 minutes and you can request a new one after about a minute. Requests are limited per hour. Request again, then use only the newest code.
Wrong code
Five wrong attempts lock a code. Request a new one.
My account link was refused
The email already belongs to another account. Choose to sign in to that account instead.
